A mobile imaging unit is a fully functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), or PET/CT system housed in a specially designed trailer. It provides high-quality imaging services in a flexible, transportable format, ideal for hospitals, clinics, veterinarians and healthcare facilities that need additional imaging capacity.

Mobile Imaging Units typically require 480V 3-phase power, which can be supplied by an on-site electrical hookup or a generator if needed.


  

  • A level, paved surface for parking.
  • Proper electrical connections, 480V 3-phase power and 150-200 amps. 
  • A female Russell Stoll receptacle
  • 4x4, ½ inch steel/aluminum or wooden pads to sustain the mobile, unless the mobile is placed on concrete surface 
  • RF shielding considerations for interference-free imaging.
  • Access for patient transport (ramps or lift access).

The mobile will take between 8-10 parking spaces, and it must be placed at least 10 feet from any moving traffic or large metal structures.
